I am a not pedophile woman but I was always very intrigued by the subject. I must admit that until not long ago, I was one of those people who, out of sheer ignorance, wished the worst for anyone who felt attracted to children. But my curiosity brought me closer to the testimonies of many virtuous pedophiles and I feel that right now I am able to empathize with your feelings, your fears, your frustrations, your suffering, and your desire of helping to keep children safe.

The subject of pedophilia in women is perhaps the one that has attracted my attention the most since I started my research, and as you say in your article, it is very difficult to find information about it.

I am a firm believer that women are born with the same libido, desire, and sexual drive as men. I think the macho culture, the way we are raised to “fear” sex makes all the difference. While society and religion teach women to be careful and demure, they teach them that they are not “real” men unless they have as much sex as possible, as soon as possible, with anyone willing to (or not).

I also think that the macho society in which we live makes men suffer much more than we do from lack of sex (psychologically, not due to a physical need). The movement called “incels” (involuntarily celibate) could be an example of this. And I get the feeling that this macho “mandate” to be sexually active can make it much more difficult for men to hold back from acting than it is for women (whether they are pedophiles or not).

And it is at this point that I believe there may be an explanation for the lower known percentage of female pedophiles and, consequently, for the lower percentage of known cases of abuse by women. We know that there are women who abuse children. As you explained well in your article, and as another person pointed out in the comments when any of these cases come to light, many people make fun of it and the penalties are usually less than those received by male abusers, which seems an absolute horror to me.

In short, I believe that there can be many women who are sexually attracted to children but who do not feel the same “pressure” to be sexually active as pedophile men, and that is why it is more difficult for them to abuse a minor and, hence, let their existence known to the world.

Well, I hope I have not bored you with my musings and that if at any time you see this message, you will give me your opinion. I thank your bravery to share your experience with the world and I hope that your courage will help us learn more about pedophilia in the future so that we can use it to combat abuse.

PD: sorry for my english, I am from Argentina…

As a female MAP myself, I often feel the same struggle, the same disconnected discomfort when looking around the scientific community who researches MAPs. We might be ‘rare’ but to dub female pedophiles as ‘irrelevant’ is so dangerous, both to potential victims, and to the women who want to know and understand themselves more. I’ve had people on Twitter accuse me of being a trans women (insinuating I MUST have male genitalia to be so deluded as to be attracted to children) and then go on to spew horrific and graphic misogynistic threats once I insist, no, I am indeed a ciswomen who loves children in both acceptable and unacceptable ways. I fight myself a lot, as I’m no longer around small children and find the genuine maternal part of me yearning for them again. Not for anything devious, but the brain is such a self sabotaging organ that those thoughts inevitably trickle in. “What if I just want to get close to do something bad”… I dont believe that, genuinely. I was always good with kids, well before I was aware of what I was, and after. But I hate being so afraid of myself. My therapist, luckily, is good for assisting in my self doubts.

I hope one day female MAPs get more attention and research

I think there is too little information to be found for females who are attracted to minors and I would like to help spread the news that they exist.

There already is a German language version at the “Kinder im Herzen” Blog which is where I found the article. “Kinder im Herzen” says that they were granted permission by Emma to use the text and links to the original article, which is how I found this page.

If my request is granted, my next step would be to ask “Kinder im Herzen” for permission to reuse their (quite good) German translation.

I can relate very well, to most of this blogpost.

While my own blog concetrates mostly on male hebephilia (which is perceived by the public as pedophilia), I have at one point researched the pervalence of pedohile women. Unfortunately the only way to get an idea (that I found) was by checking studies that give a percentage of female perpetrators. I identified three sources of information:

According to „Long-term consequences of childhood sexual abuse by gender of victim.“ 19,27 % of offenders are female (40 % in case of boy victims, 6% in case of girl victims).

„The use of online technology in the modus operandi of female sex offenders“ reports that in case of 36% of male victims and 6% of female victims the perpetrator was female. Overall the percentage of female offenders was 17%.

The meta study „Educator Sexual Misconduct:A Synthesis of Existing Literature“ lits the results of other studies on page 24 of the report (page 32 of the PDF):

Jennings and Tharp (2003) => 12.7 % female offenders
Hendrie (1998) => 20 % female offenders
Gallagher (2000) => 4 % female offenders
Shakeshaft and Cohan (1994) => 4 % female offenders
2000 AAUW data => 42.4 % female offenders
Cameron et al.=> 43 % female offenders

When you consider all of the above, the percentage of females seems to be at least 20% and in case of boys probably around 40%.

The link to the studies can be found on my blog entry on “women as offenders” (https://paedoseite.home.blog/2019/09/07/frauen-als-taterinnen/). On the top right hand side there is a translation gadget that turns the text to English.

Of course female perpetrators don’t need to be peophiles and there are probably many female pedophiles that never become perpetrators. Nevertheless I think the number at least hint that there could be a similarly significant percentage of females among all persons attracted to minors.

Trust me. Many who have acted have some good left. Someone could have acted at at 18, get in trouble then never act again till the day they leave this earth. Some small peecentage of them. But of course they will always be pooled in with those who would commit crimes any chance they get.

I am male and want to let you know that your post was very informative and a good read. Most Americans think/act out of fear and ignorance towards “pd.” They think only men commit crimes of that nature and that if a man has that “sickness” and hasn’t acted, he certainly will. The image that comes to mind from children, teens, and adults of any age about men with the “sickness,” whether or not they have acted on their feelings is some much older, unattractive white man lurking in the shadows. Behind a bush with with candy in his hand. Or hidding behind some van. They also believe that most men in general are “perverts”(whether in regards to teen girls or to women or both) with sex on their minds despite teens and women watching porn and being the same sort of way. By the way the porn/adult entertainment industry has a major role in the development of such a sexuality and has influenced many sexual crimes out there. Hence the porn/adult entertainment industry has indirectly caused a number of Americans to think the way that they do towards “pd-fls.”

When it comes to attractive females, teachers or not, who victimize boys and girls, the media and most people overlook those crimes and do not label such women. The media even words the crimes in such a way that downplays what was done. Such of “affair” or “romance.” Many teen boys and men would show the women approval through comments under articles and YouTube videos. The women also get lesser punishment in comparison to men.

Most Americans seem to have no clue that teens, men, and women of any race/ethinicty have that “sickness” and some have acted and some haven’t. Some will and some will never. Teens in America and other countries have committed crimes of that nature.

With that being said large numbers of adults will have grown up with the same negative and wrong way of thinking that I spoke of and past it along to their young ones. The cycle will then continue.

Even the therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists have the same mentality and some of them will commit perjury and conspire against men who have crimimal cases undee oath or on paper to add further damage. Which has happened to me and God saved me from that horrific case/situation.

I would like to share my experiences with the justice system and some experiences that led up to that point but since I have been marked, or basically Im one of the actual so-called “scum of the earth” my words might not count here. But boy do I have a story(and great warning) to tell others with such sexualities.

Hello! Please pardon me for taking so long to respond. Indeed, I feel only behavior can be judged as moral or immoral: thoughts and attractions cannot be judged the same way. I don’t know for sure, but I think the majority of pedophiles may never act on their attractions. I hope you are able to find a better understanding of your sexuality, but if you ever need to chat about it, feel free to reach out.

– Emma
